The second annual Aviators Ball repeated the success of last year’s inaugural event, organized by the Student Veteran Organization and held at Penn College’s Lumley Aviation Center at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville. Among events toasting out the academic year, the semi-formal affair featured games, music, photo ops, food and Wildcat connections.

“Building Resilience – Making Positive Changes” was the theme of the fourth annual Wildcat Wellness Fair, hosted recently by students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology class, Counseling Services and Student Engagement. The healthy and healing hands-on happening featured a range of Penn College student organizations and services – all aiming to uplift, encourage and de-stress students during the busy spring season.

The Friday afternoon before finals stirred Wildcats into a frolicking frenzy, and the “Semester Send-Off,” hosted by the Office of Student Engagement, offered just the right ticket to fun.

The Student Government Association’s Spring 2025 Silent Auction generated a record-breaking $5,600 in funds, surpassing the previous record of $4,200. The annual fundraiser is SGA’s signature event, raising money for the Student Leader Legacy Scholarship. Three Penn College students have been identified as the latest scholarship recipients.

Several Penn College students showed their care for the local community by volunteering their time to support the Lycoming County SPCA's annual Paws Run. Sigma Pi fraternity, who has a tradition of helping with this event for the past several years, came out in full force with 20 brothers volunteering.

The annual honoring of awesome women took place recently, with the spotlight shining on 25 Penn College students. Hosted by the Office of Student Engagement in the Thompson Professional Development Center, the 2025 Awesome Woman Exemplar Ceremony featured appetizers, mingling and awards.

A campus tradition since 2009, the Student Government Association’s annual Silent Auction is set for noon to 4 p.m., Friday, March 21, with online bidding through BidPal One. Beginning Thursday, auction items can be viewed via the online site, and they can also be seen in-person in the Bush Campus Center lobby beginning at noon on Friday.

Although Penn College students were on Spring Break last week, their caring efforts still made an impact in the local community, as the Office of Student Engagement’s Spring Break Donation Initiative delivered gifts to four local nonprofit organizations. The items were made possible by Penn College students who have worked on various service projects throughout the Spring Semester, including creating care kits and homemade dog toys.
